Victor V. Goryunov is a Russian mathematician working in geometry and topology. In particular he works in singularity theory, Vassiliev type invariants of plane curves, and Legendrian knots.〔(Goryunov's university homepage )〕 He completed his PhD thesis, titled "''Surface projection singularities''", at Moscow's Lomonosov State University in 1981. As of 2009 he was a professor of mathematics at the University of Liverpool.〔(University of Liverpool webpage )〕 He is an editorial advisor of the journal Proceedings of the London Mathematical Society. == Publications == He is the co-author of two published books. * * Since 1978, he has published more than 50 peer reviewed articles.
